3A Molecular Sieve

Has a pore size of 3A or 3 angstrom. Any molecule larger than 3A will not be able to be adsorbed. Mole Sieve is an alkali metal alumino-silicate, the potassium form of the type A crystal structure. 3 Angstrom is created when part of the sodium ions of the 4 Angstrom sieve are replaced by potassium ions. The sequence rate of adsorption rate is helium, neon, nitrogen and water.

The advantages of our 3A mole sieve are consistently high adsorption speed, and higher contamination resistance, stronger crushing strength, increasing cyclic times which provide an extended product life. 3A Molecular Sieve is primarily for removing moisture from liquefied and gaseous materials.

It has become one of the most reliable desiccants for a variety of applications including:

  • Refrigerant Drying
  • Moisture removal in PU Plastic or Paint
  • Natural Gas Drying
  • Drying Cracked Gas
  • Static drying of insulating glass units, whether air filled or gas-filled.
  • Dehydration of highly polar compounds, such as methanol and ethanol.
  • Dehydration of unsaturated hydrocarbons (e.g. ethylene, propylene, butadiene).

Regeneration

3A Molecular Sieve regenerated and reused. To regenerate the sieve you need to remove the adsorbed moisture and other materials. To regenerate 3A Molecular Sieve heat to 250ƒ.

Storage

Keep 3A Molecular Sieve in an air tight container until ready for use to avoid unintended moisture adsorption.
